The Directorate-General for Statistics of Education and Science (DGEEC) is a central service of the State's direct administration, with administrative autonomy. DGEEC’s mission is to guarantee the production and statistical analysis of education and science. To create and ensure the proper functioning of the integrated information system of the Ministry of Education, DGEEC provides technical support for policy formulation, strategic planning and operations. DGEEC observes and evaluates the overall results obtained by the Ministry of Educations’ educational, scientific and technological systems in coordination with other services of the Ministry of Education.
